Visiting Information

First Visit

Your first visit will take approximately 40 minutes.
It would be helpful to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete forms and other documents.

One of these forms is the New Patient Registration Form that must be completed and returned prior.

Referrals

To see one of our Doctors you must have a referral from a GP or a medical specialist (for example a paediatrician or ENT surgeon). GP referrals are valid for 12 months and specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.

Up to date referrals are essential in order for you to claim Medicare benefits associated with your appointment(s). Please bear this in mind when booking for your initial consult. Referrals must be renewed if there are any consultations beyond this time period.

Dr John Wong maintains a commitment to providing thorough and attentive care to all patients. While the general wait time for new patient appointments is approximately 3 months, Dr Wong prioritises infants and urgent cases to ensure timely and specialised attention. Prospective patients are encouraged to contact our clinic directly to secure appointments and discuss their specific needs.

Additionally, we are pleased to offer the expertise of Dr Ramaa Puvvadi and Dr Antonia O'Connor.

Dr Puvvadi and Dr O'Connor extends their availability to new patients with a wait time of approximately 2 months. Those seeking expedited access to services are encouraged to contact the clinic and explore the option of scheduling appointments with Dr Puvvadi and Dr O'Connor.

Confirmation

We usually send text messages from our computer system a few days prior to your scheduled appointment. Please could you respond to confirm by sending Y for yes of N for no. If you would like to reschedule your appointment please feel free to call us at your earliest convenience to change the booking.

Cancellations

If you need to reschedule or cancel your booking we ask that you give us 48 hours notice to allow us time to book and fill the cancelled time slot.

As you can imagine one late patient will inevitably effect other patients and the ability to deliver a timely service. If you will be late we ask that you call the office to let us know so that we may be able to work out alternative arrangements.

Fees

Fees are discussed at the time of booking the appointment.

Fees apply for certain tests/services such as overnight oximetry. For your convenience we offer – VISA and MasterCard, EFTPOS or cash. We do ask that all fees be paid on the day of service.

Medical rebates are processed electronically on the day of service to ensure your rebate is provided in a timely manner. Please ensure that you provide the correct details to our staff for smooth rebate transactions and settling of funds.
